What is Manifestation?

Have you ever wondered what separates the dreamers from the doers in achieving their goals and making their dreams a reality? It all starts with a mindset shift. If you want to manifest differently, you need to do things differently - that’s expectation. You have to think and start to show up differently. Anybody can get the dream job, dream life partner, dream house, but many can’t keep and maintain it simply because they didn’t start with a strong mindset. Mindset, meaning what you think about, is the foundation of it all, and hope is what brings the dreams you want to life.

Manifesting is the practice of thinking positive thoughts with the hope of them becoming real. It's about being intentional in focusing your mind on what you want and mindfully directing your focus, zooming in on your thoughts, beliefs, and actions to bring what you want into reality. This isn't just wishful thinking or using positive thinking. Positive thinking is about maintaining a positive attitude and focusing on the good things in life. The power of expectation and manifestation is much more than that.

What is Expectation?

Expectation is the sheer essence of hope. It’s future-focused. Expectation and hope are deep beliefs in achieving what you want, even when you can’t see it and the circumstances say otherwise. It’s about being intentional with your thoughts and choosing to redirect them. When we align our expectations with our feelings, thoughts, actions, and beliefs, we can shift our future reality into what we want.

Combining the power of expectation and manifestation involves not only thinking positively but also setting clear intentions, visualizing your outcomes, using affirmations, and taking action. Manifesting is an active process where you intentionally create your reality by aligning your thoughts, beliefs, and actions with your wants and goals.

Aligning your expectations with what you want is important. If you desire something but don't believe it's possible, you're sending out mixed signals to your mind, body, and spirit. For manifestation to be effective, it has to become a whole-body experience. You need to embody what you want. Feel it. Sense it. That means checking with how you’re feeling about your wants. It means doing the work to align yourself with your expectations, your wants, and your hopes, and to start examining your belief system.


Overcoming Fear and Limiting Beliefs

Two of the biggest common barriers to expecting and manifesting include fear and limiting beliefs. Fear of failure, fear of success, and deeply ingrained limiting beliefs, even from childhood and past life experiences, can block your ability to manifest effectively.

Handling fears, doubts, and negative expectations can be challenging. Whenever doubt and fear creep in, acknowledge them quickly. Don’t dismiss them. Don’t ruminate and dwell on them. Validate your experiences and feelings. Trust your instincts and intuition. Follow them up with positive affirmations to reset your focus on your desired outcome, focusing on what you really want. Surround yourself with supportive people who believe in you and your dreams—people who make you feel safe, seen, and heard.

Developing a healthy mindset with the power of expectation and manifestation takes consistency and mindfulness. Changing a belief system takes more than saying one cute affirmation. Here are a few practical steps you can take to move the needle:

  • Journaling: Doing a mind dump of your emotions and thoughts can help to increase your awareness and bring in more mental freedom.

  • Visualization: A powerful tool that allows you to see and feel your desired outcome as if it's already happening. Take a few moments each day to close your eyes and imagine your goals in vivid detail. Feel the emotions associated with achieving them. This primes your brain to recognize opportunities that align with your desires.

  • Affirmations: Create affirmations that resonate with you and repeat them daily. For example, if you want to manifest a new job, you might say, 'I am attracting a fulfilling and rewarding job that aligns with my skills and passions.' The more you repeat these affirmations, the more they become ingrained in your subconscious mind.

  • Taking Inspired Action: Manifesting isn't just about thinking positively; it's about doing. Pay attention to your intuition and take active steps towards your goals. These actions, no matter how small, build momentum and bring you closer to manifesting the life you want and desire.
