What is an Expat?

"I decided I wanted to become an expat and for those people who don’t know what an expat is, it’s short for ex-patriot, which means that someone who by choice leaves their country and may come back. So, like an immigrant is leaving forever, but someone who is an expat is someone who may come back. They’re not leaving with the intent of never going home again."
